Salamanca Market, Hobart - Tasmania

"A new adventure every Saturday".

Fresh produce at Salamanca Market.

It sure is.

Salamanca Market is something that absolutely cannot be missed in Hobart. It is a major attraction in Hobart city centre, and it almost feels that the city is centred on this weekly iconic market that is always crowded by locals and tourists alike.

Open at 0830 - 1500 every Saturday, Salamanca Market holds more than 300 stalls offering artisan products, unique buskers, handmade crafts, and delicious quick food. It is a perfect place to spen your Saturday morning browsing for Tasmania souvernirs while enjoying your cup of coffee or locally made ginger beer.

The market is situated in the middle of Salamanca Place, one of Hobart's historic sites with beautiful buildings, galleries, restaurants, and cafes.

The place is vigorous, full of photo op, especially with colourful flowers and fresh produce. Samplers from chocolate, cheese, wine, and gin stalls are abundant, and you will not leave hungry with stalls selling sausages, Asian street food, and empanadas around.

One-of-a-kind fashion items and accessories are also on display, as well as fancy decorations and kitchen equipments.

Everyone will find something that floats their boats here, and if I were you, I'd plan my Tasmania visit on the weekend just to come here (which exactly what I did).
